Perhentian.... The treasures of the island (Day 2)

feeding the fishes
View all 11 photos...
I would call it the best snorkelling trip I ever had even though my friends claimed Pulau Lang Tengah gave Perhentian a good fight (I did not go to Lang Tengah, so I rest my case 0)

The experience to feed the fishes underwater was really something. One thing that I would surely remember was the experience to swim with the turtle. Hopefully one of my friends who brought the disposable underwater camera would be kind enough to scan the pictures once it's developed.

We stopped at Long Beach for lunch. Touted as the Hawaii of the island, there sure was many foreigners there. I would definitely go there on my next trip to Perhentian

Then we went to Shark Point to catch a glimpse of the predator. However, I did not managed to feast my eyes on any of those even though one of my friends claimed he saw one.

The snorkelling trip ended when the guide brought us to a water spring located not so far from our chalet. It was refreshing and it reminded me of my childhood when there was still a weld at my late grandma's house. Now, all that's left is just a big hole covered by shrubs and bushes.

Perhentian.... The arrival (Day 1)

some of us were exhausted, me??? i was too excited to sleep
all 6 of us geared up for the boat ride
my first steps at perhentian

The trip to Pulau Perhentian was actually planned from late last year between Ben and myself. Even if everyone else could not make the schedule, we would go on our own.

We took the bus from Hentian Putra at 9.00 pm, 22 May 2005. Arrived at Kuala Besut around 4 a.m, and had to wait until sunrise for the boat to Fauna Beach Resort, Pulau Perhentian.

Since check-in time was 12 pm, we decided to go swimming and playing beach volleyball to kill the time. When lunch was served, WOW.. it was excellent. I guess all the sweating and swimming made the food tasted "garam secukup rasa" yummy...

We did not go for snorkelling on the first day so we spent the evening playing cards at the restaurant. Even though the Teh Tarik costed RM3 per glass, it was excellent because nothing can beat pleasure of sipping hot Teh Tarik in the sea breeze while puffing away my Marlboro Light.. hahaha..

Dinner was again not dissappointing. After the excellent dinner, we decided to go for karaoke even though I am not such a big fan of it. Ironically... it rained heavily through out the karaoke session .

I can't sing, But I sure can sleep

BRO!!!! hahahahahah, and guess what, nama aku pun Suffian Harris...hahahah, like we're at the same island last week, check out the "kebetulan" factor! haha...

Aku ada sana setiap tahun, (teluk dalam, fauna beach) Jom aa next year lagi sekali...it'll going to be fun!

no doubt, perhentian surely one of the best island arround.
Well, im going for a trip to 2 more pulau these coming month including khosamui ...wanna join?

Petronas Mini Carnival 2005 - MISC Volley Ball Team Pics

View all 19 photos...
The carnival took place at PERMATA, Bangi on 14th May 2004 (Saturday).

I gave my camera to one of the girls because all the men including myself were busy in the court. The day was very hot and I am suffering from mild sunburn on my face right now (monday). Yeah.. that's the price I have to pay because I was reluctant to use any sunblock hehehehe...

The men's team did not make any significant achivement as compared to the women's team which bagged the second place. As for the men's team, i believe it's more of a personal achievement for each of us because we managed to give the opponents something to remember us by even though we were formed in less than 2 months.

As for myself, I can say that I've regain my confidence level to it's original state. Hopefully, things will be smooth sailing for the team after this because we must be prepared for the real carnival that will be happening sometime in June.

The trip to penang wasn't really a holiday for me. I just wanted to finish off my balance for this year. so i followed a friend who was attending a conference.
We took a bus from kL eventhough the initial plan was actually to drive. I almost end up spending my annual leave in the hotel room if it was not for a friend of mine who was willing to take us to the Pesta Pulau Pinang.. Thank you adi..
it's been 4 years since my last visit and don't know when the next visit gonna be. Thinking of making it like an Olympic kinda stuff hehehe.. see u in 2008.

yeah..man. i remeber the last time we went there. probally we could setup a reunion trip to penang and langkawai. the same three of us + my family and more. he he he.. Thu 23-Dec-2004 07:52

this is one of my few instant escapes that turned out to be quit OK. unplanned, unprepared and insane. we wanted the trip to be our own version of the AMAZING RACE.. not knowing where to sleep, what bus to take etc..
unfortunately the idea did not materialize because the last member offered his car and brother's house to crash.. hehehehe..

until i'm able to categorize them accordingly, they will remain in this uncharted territory.

My business trip to Perth, ramadhan 2003. A very brief visit.. only 25 hours... hehehehe.. meeting from early morning till sunset.
The daylight pics i took during the meeting. It was long and tiring, so I decided to sneak out and indulge the short moment.. Must revisit, must meet real kangaroo..

This is my pics during the last stage of my previous project, installation and offshore commissioning of FPSO Bunga Kertas. I endured 3 months on and off offshore, the longest being 28 days straight.
